Today is Robbie Burns day (Jan 25th) and we will be heading out tonight to enjoy some good bagpipe music and haggis of course!
Lately though, I have been madly sewing, scrunchies and scrunchie sets mainly getting ready for the new farmers market season at Sexsmith and the following fall and Christmas markets after that. My small pouches and such will be next on the list.
My aim to have plenty of my small items on hand and as many tote bags as possible stored. The reason being is there is a strong likelyhood that I will be having surgery for my cataracts sometime this summer. The surgeries will likely be a month apart, as I have them in both eyes. So that will of course limit my sewing time for a while. I will have someone with me to get me to the market and help out so I hope to not miss a beat unless it is unavoidable.
As I probably have mentioned before, we will be enduring “Part 2” of our move this coming spring. We have moved into our modular home, at it’s current location. The land owners graciously let us live on site until late spring. We will be moving the whole kitten-kabootle before June we hope to the kids property. After that we hope that is the last and final move ever!
Amongst it all, we would like to do a bit of travelling in our “new to us” Safari motorhome that we aquired after we sold our home. Some overdue relative visiting is definately in order.
As for the markets, I have changed up my displays for the upcoming season. I have sold my grid walls and am simplifing things a bit regarding my table set up. I bought the cutest little wooden rack to hang tote bags or whatever upon. It is actually meant to be for a childs dress up clothes, however I think it will work great for my purposes. I can stand it either on the floor or if it is tight for space, right upon the table itself. I will be using the small basket rack that I acquired last fall for my regular scrunchies and the $5 small pouches.
So in all, it is looking like it is going to be a very busy year!
