Expandable storage bags a.k.a. “shoe” bags, are a great little bag. They lay flat when empty, but expand out a great deal when full. They will hold a pair of shoes or slippers, keeping your clothes clean in your suitcase when traveling. I use mine a lot in winter to take along my shoes so I don’t have to wear my winter boots all day.
